I was down to the last minute in qualifying. Unfortunately I had to throw $150 of my own $ into the last party to make it over the $1,000 mark. This past month has been insane. Preparing for grad school, traveling to Virginia and Long Island for vacations really dragged me back. Had over 500 emails to go back to when I got back and still have to read 1/2 of them. I haven’t had the time to put into recruiting, hostess coaching, getting help, or even trying to book parties. My parties over the past two months have been bummers (less than 350 in sales!) My sponsor Danielle gave me some tips that I think will really turn everything around. ie: grouping items together as a package, not showing the catalogs to everyone until they make their purchases, and doing better hostess coaching. She also got me in contact with one of the IBA’s whom I did a dovetail party from. Of course now I have to make the time to get in contact with this girl asap.
My parties for the most part have been fun disasters! One of them there was a horrible mis-communication with a few of the girls. Pretty much one of the guests walked out of the party with a catalog ‘saying’ she would host a party and I would get her info. The next day when I went to place the order, i needed her booking date in order to finish the order so the hostess would get credit for it. I couldn’t get a hold of this girl before I left for Virginia on vacation. This was really bad because the girls needed the orders shipped asap before they were done with finals the next week. The hostess was pissed off and couldn’t understand why I needed to get this information before placing the order. In the end, that girl couldn’t host a party because she lives far away and didn’t care to have another rep do it (so i lost a catalog worth $3.50), everyone placing the orders had to get their items shipped to them and I had to pay the extra $ on shipping. I lost madd $ on that party because it cost $30 just to drive an hour each way there, $14.20 for the dovetail fee, and the shipping $. The party was only $142.00 and I only made 30% on it = 42.60. So yeah thats gas and shipping.
I did one party where I spent a good $200, and 8 hours on the train getting there (long island.) It was a really fun experience. I stayed with Dan (my narcissistic ape friend from undergrad) for a few days and Melinda (one of my sorority sisters from undergrad who hosted the party). The party was held at Melinda’s friend’s apartment. About 20 people showed (and 10 -15 people present with the others outside) and most of the people there got completely wasted! There was enough alcohol to last an entire night. It was really rowdy and loud and it was hard for anyone to hear me. People were coming and leaving at random times. There were some awesome people who were quiet and truly interested in what I was doing. I was really patient. It took me at least 3 hours to do a party that would usually take 1 hr and 30 min. Afterwards I went to the bar with Melinda and there was this creepy guy that wouldn’t leave her alone. I was so thankful that he didn’t follow us home. The party was so much fun (even though it was crazy) and I was kinda tipsy as well (more of a headache- it was BYOB so I bought a cheap bottle of wine and drank all of it but didn’t feel much- note to self- don’t buy cheap wine in future…usually 2 glasses are enough for me when it’s good wine!). The people I became familiar with were so awesome and I got to spend the next day with some of them. I think the experience was worth the trip down there.
Even though I put $150 towards that order to qualify, at least I got some awesome product outta it. I tried the strap on light up butterfly/dolphin that I got for myself yesterday. OMG it is AMAZING! It took a while to get used to it, but when I did, my orgasms where so different than the one’s my rabbit gave me. My fiance is gonna go nuts when he sees it on me! I tried the nipple nibbers which now I can see why there is so much hype. I will never use any other lip gloss again…this stuff is amazing and I couldn’t believe how it simulated my nipples as well! It felt amazing! Then I tried some chocolate mint Good Head…omg I could just eat the whole bottle! And I can’t wait to see my fiance in 2 weeks so I can try the Ball Banger on him! It’s a vibrator attached to a cock ring with 3 metal balls hanging down. I’ll let you guys know how that goes as well as how he likes the succulent blossom that I got him! At least then I will really know how a guy likes those things!
Anyway I have 3 definite parties coming up in the near future as well as 2-3 other possibilities. So my next goal is boosting party sales through hostess coaching and more incentives. As soon as grad school starts at the end of the month, I expect my parties to REALLY grow. Also I have 3 more possible recruits so things are kinda looking up despite my growing debt! eeekkk! But from what I hear this is normal so I’m staying positive!
