So for doing three parties so far, I suppose $468.00 is not bad for retail sales. My goal though is to reach $2000 by the end of the 2nd month. One more month to go. Oh boy! I have been putting at least 4-5 hours a day into communications, emailing, advertising, accounting, and building my website. It always seems to take forever. I hope it gets better. At least I have one definite shindig and 7 possible ones for next month. (3 possible reps as well) I’m just still a little nervous whether I am going to do really well in this or not. I have learned SOOO much over the last month I feel like I already know most of everything about being a rep. I can’t wait to order items for 70% off with my discount. I just need to get out of debt 1st. That deposit for grad school really screwed me over.
So far it has been interesting already being in this biz. I’ve gotten a reply to an ad from a sex slave who wants to have his dominatrix use the toys on him in front of everyone. (of course I would have to have the items pre-ordered for them to own 1st, I cant imagine public health laws supporting it with demonstration toys!) When I asked reps on yahoo board for some advice on this one, they said they would stay clear of a lead like that but I guess I’m a little risky. I think it would be kinda interesting. I may end up eating my words later though. lol.
Having my mom discover this new enterprise has been really awkward. She’s a devote super-catholic that thinks that stuff probably comes from the devil! I told her I started something new and she wouldn’t want to know. Well she didn’t take my word when she went snooping around my room. Instead of going to me about it, she informed my sister who said I was doing this to help people like my friends who were virgins and didn’t want to have sex because of disease and pregnancy. They needed something to tide them over. Well I cant believe she bought it. Still to this day she hasn’t mentioned it to me. Now whenever I get a phone call and go in my room she will ask me who it was. BTW I’m 24! This home living situation is temporary till I go to grad school in June thankfully!
So in my last words I thought I would mention how my first party went. I learned my biggest lesson: Don’t present the anal toys first! And especially don’t try to pull your 1st party 2 days after receiving your kit! Wait a week by all means! And don’t throw a party with NO ONE that your know!! Trying to describe a bunch of sex toys to 40 sorority girls at my first party is probably the most insane thing to do. And once I pulled out the vibrating anal butt pug, 20 girls left the room! By the time I reached the end of the presentation, there were about 15 girls left. That is the most difficult subject to even mention because it’s so taboo in our society. Most wont even attempt it. Anyway the thing about having a party for me and the guests with 2 days notice is everyone was bum outta cash and I sure wasn’t ready. Taking orders was interesting. I was asking them how I do it! The sales was $60 for that one and I was missing 2 catalogs. One thing I can say, is 2 glasses of wine surely helps when you do your 1st party!
